Grass & Root Seeds, Game Cover Mix, Sheep Graze

Intensive Cutting Medium Term   A high quality cutting or grazing mixture with high first cut yield which can be followed either by a further cut, or grazed throughout the summer.

Long Term Cut & Graze   Ideally suited to extensive management systems where versatility is the priority. A range of ryegrasses ensures growth throughout the year for both sheep/cattle/silage. The ideal system of management would be grazing with ewes/lambs, followed by big bale silage, followed by grazing. This system ensures maximum production and longevity of sward.

Intensive Grazing Mixture Long Term   - A high percentage of late perennials produces a leafy, dense sward ideally suited for grazing. Tetraphoids ensure palatability and added bulk if the mixture is cut. Silage from this product will be extremely high quality whenever it is cut.

Intensive Hi-Cut Medium Term        - A high yielding, high quality silage mixture. A high tetraploid content will ensure high sugars and good fermentation on the clamp. A high percentage of late perennials allow production throughout the summer and into Autumn, either for late silage cuts or grazing.

Traditional Pasture Mix Long Term    - An upland mixture for grazing sheep, hay or big bale silage. The choice of perennial ryegrass types allow the mixture to be used in many ways, whilst retaining year round production and persistence.

Short Tem Mixture    - This mixture may be sown in Autumn or Spring. Autumn sowing should produce grazing into early winter. Spring sowing may produce one or two cuts of silage the same year producing heavily the following season.

Grassland Renovator    - Short term mix. Set aside mix, patching , mix, stitching in mix, over seeding mix. E.g after 2-3 years 30% of some seeds stop growing, this rejuvenates the sward.

NEW SHEEP GRAZE MIX

Our new sheep graze has proved a very popular choice for both fattening lambs and lambing ewes. The forage rape and kale gives an excellent winter canopy cover against frost for the stubble turnips giving improved yields.

We have selected the very best winter hardy varieties including the new ‘Delilah’ stubble turnip which trials have shown it to out perform all other varieties. Sheep graze trials last year showed a much improved winter feed value with an extended grazing period. Try sheep graze this season and see the difference.
